Mika Marcel Godts is a Belgian winger born on 07/06/2005 (21) in Leuven. He is 176cm tall and weighs 73kg. He grew up playing football for Genk’s youth teams and currently plays for Ajax. The player primarily plays on the left wing, but he has also played on the right wing or as an attacking midfielder.

From a physical standpoint, Mika Marcel Godts is below average in height and has a low center of gravity. He has to further develop his musculature. He has a high step frequency and is explosive and fast. He also shows great ball progression. The player also has excellent agility, balance, and coordination. These qualities also enable him to handle various contrasts with his opponents.

Mika Marcel Godts is a left winger and his preferred foot is his right. He uses it with confidence, even with outside-of-the-boot flicks. He also uses his weak foot very well. The player has excellent vision and passing ability, both in short and long-distance passes. He has a great understanding of the game and is very versatile. He has excellent shooting ability (precision and power) at both short and long range. Moreover, he has to develop a more ruthless instinct in front of goal. The player has to improve his header. The Belgian player has elite basic technique and ball control, which allows him to dribble past defenders and become a threat. Mika Marcel Godts utilizes body feints combined with a futsal-style sole-of-the-foot control.

During the possession phase, Mika Marcel Godts is a modern creative winger. He prefers to play on the left side to cut inside, dribble, and take shots. He loves to create plays for teammates through lay-off passes, one-two passes, outside-of-the-boot flicks, and assists. In fact, he also drops deep and plays between the lines to pick up the ball from his midfielders. Alternatively, the player also tries to get to the byline to create plays for teammates, even using his weak foot. He is very dangerous during attacking transitions, thanks to his great ball progression and dribbling skills.

During the non-possession phase, Mika Marcel Godts remains fairly disengaged. He takes a passive, defensive stance, staying high up the pitch to ready himself for swift counter-attacks. Additionally, he has not yet developed the defensive intensity required to reliably make deep tracking runs or to double up on opposing wingers. He must improve his defensive work rate to reach a higher level.

Mika Marcel Godts exhibits a strong personality, demonstrating confidence, boldness and focus despite his age. He is willing to take risks and plays intensely with healthy footballing arrogance. His adaptability is notable and he possesses a deep associative intelligence. He is subjected to constant double-teams and aggressive, systematic tactical fouling, but he demonstrates strong mental resilience. Additionally, better management of his physical energy would benefit his overall performance.

As for the overall evaluation of the player, Mika Marcel Godts is already an excellent player with scope for improvement: He stands out above all for his technical and offensive skills, but still has to mature and therefore improve his clinical finishing efficiency and defensive attitude. He could become a world-class winger. A player with a similar profile in today's game could be Kvaratskhelia, but he is also compared to a young Hazard.
