Tyler Dibling has been a breath of fresh air for Southampton in a difficult start to the season on their return to the Premier League.

The young English footballer, born in Exeter, England, on 12 March 2006, started his career with his hometown club Axminster Town AFC and went on to play for Millwey Rise FC and Exeter City FC before joining the saints in 2012. After 10 seasons in the south of England, in July 2012 he attracted the attention of Chelsea FC, who promised him a professional contract when he turned 17.

After a difficult time at the London club, he returned to Southampton in september 2022, where he was still regarded as one of the academy's brightest prospects.

This season, Tyler is already a regular in the first team dynamic, having played in 5 official games and getting a goal and 2 assists from the right winger position.

At international level, Dibling has represented England at U16 and U17 level, playing in last year's UEFA European U17 Championship 2023.

If we talk about his characteristics as a player, we find a tremendously skilful player on the ball. He is very good at dribbling and receiving in tight spaces.

In addition to his exquisite technical skills, he has a tactical understanding that is quite good for his young age. Obviously, he still needs to correct aspects such as his positioning in transitions, his decision making and also his reading of the game to become a more complete footballer.

Physically, he is a very interesting player. He is powerful, fast and has great control and ball handling on the run.

Lastly, on the mental aspect, he also has a lot of room for improvement, as he is still a young player. Introducing aspects like commitment, responsibility, leadership and determination into his game will make him a player to talk about in the top division of english football.
