Rodrygo Silva de Goes is perhaps one with the greatest potential talents in modern Brazilian football, playing as a right-winger at Real Madrid today the young Brazilian is already considered a key player in Ancelotti's line-up. Rodrygo born in Osasco, São Paulo, on January 9, 2001, has debuted for Santos in November 2017, with just 16 years of age, playing 49 matches in the following two seasons with 10 goals and 7 assists. In Brazil, and especially among Santos fans, he is known as the “Cuarto Rayo”, because he is considered the fourth potentially world-class player to emerge from the Santos youth system, after Pelè, Robinho, and Neymar Jr.

The young talent joined the Merengues in the summer of 2019 after Real Madrid paid €45 million for Rodrygo the year before that. In Madrid, he became the second-youngest player to score a hat-trick in a Champions League match against Galatasaray, at the age of 18 years and 301 days. In that match, the young star showed the world his big potential as an international superstar scoring with his left foot, with a header, and with his right foot. Rodrygo plays typically Brazilian football, he does not have a large and strong physical structure but even being 174cm tall, the Brazilian talent is capable of putting any defender in difficulty when he faces you in a one-on-one situation.

Rodrigo is a high-speed footballer, not only when he runs with the ball on the long, but also in the narrow, where he always manages to be fast both in thought and with his feet. No matter what situation he is in, Rodrygo is able to receive the ball even under pressure from an opponent, where he is able with a touch to free himself from the marker. In his luggage, Rodrygo in addition to being very fast in the choice of dribbling to jump the opponent, the young talent is also very good at serving his partner to go to the net. With Real Madrid considering also some injuries, Rodrygo has served a total of 17 assists until.

Being a player capable of using both feet, and showing all his talent from already a very young age, one fundamental thing that the young Rodrygo can still improve is certainly the scoring streak. Since the time of Santos, Rodrygo has never been a player with many goals, but he has always had a good average of assists. Today, however, to truly become a world-class player and be not only fundamental for Real Madrid but also for his own national team, being more incisive and having that killer instinct in the opponent's three-quarters is certainly something that can still be improved. Playing more and more for Real Madrid will help Rodrygo become even more decisive on the pitch, and as coach Ancelotti described it, Rodrygo is the present and the future of Real Madrid.
