Quinten Timber, born in Utrecht, Netherlands, on 17 June 2001, is already one of the key players for the Champions League club Feyenoord.
At just 23 years of age, Timber is already an established player in the Eredivisie, where he has played for several top Dutch clubs. After coming through the youth academy at Ajax FC alongside his twin brother Jurriën, who is currently playing for Arsenal FC, he was recruited by his hometown club Utrecht in the summer of 2021.
After an impressive debut season in the Dutch top flight, Feyenoord set their sights on him, signing him in the summer of 2022 to become one of the most important players in the team, where he has already made more than 80 appearances in the last 3 seasons in all competitions.
It is also worth noting his numbers throughout the 2023/24 campaign, where he got 8 goals and 10 assists from the midfield position, performance that led to his first call-up to the Netherlands national team in March 2024.
Among his footballing qualities, Quinten is a player of astonishing technical quality. He stands out especially for his ball control, his associative ability, his long and short passing, as well as his ability carrying with the ball.
On the other hand, his physical qualities greatly reinforce his technical qualities. Despite being a player of short size, he has a great muscular quality, especially in the lower body, which makes him an agile, powerful and very winning player in all types of duels.
Tactically, he is also a very interesting player. He has great peripheral vision as well as vision of the game. He is so much skillful in looking for free space to receive and has a great reading of the game.
Mentally, lastly, despite the fact that he has yet to develop, we can see that he is a player who is absolutely ready for the elite. He is committed, responsible, with good leadership skills and a great personality. All these aspects make Timber a very interesting midfield to consider in the present and, of course, also for the future.
