Ousmane Diomandé (Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire) has highlighted among the promising young players of the Lisbon team.
Born on 4 December 2003 (20 years old), the African centre-back is one of the most important centre-back projects in European football. Formed in the youth academy of the Ivorian club Olympic Sport Abobo, and after a short stay in clubs such as F.C. Midtjylland and C.D. Mafra, he joined Sporting C.P. in the Primeira Liga, signing a contract until 2027.
This season, the player has made a total of 38 appearances for the league champion team in Portugal, playing more than 2.900 minutes in all competitions.
The young centre-back is characterised as a very strong and dominant defender in all kind of duels. Physically, his large size makes him a very difficult player to beat in body duels, and his great stride allows him to be very fast and competitive both in tight spaces and over long distances.
