Nicolás Paz Martínez has been one of the sensations of Serie A this season.
The spanish-argentine player, born in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, on 8 September 2004, is playing a very relevant role in the midfield for newly promoted Como.
He joined Real Madrid Club de Fútbol in 2016 from his hometown Club Deportivo Tenerife. After passing through all of Real Madrid's categories from Infantil ‘B’ to Castilla, also making his debut as a first team player on 8 November 2023 in a UEFA Champions League match against SC Braga, last summer Como 1907, managed by Cesc Fabregas, recruited the player in exchange for €6 million for 50% of the player's rights, with Real Madrid keeping an option to buy him back.
At international level, Nico made his debut in a Maurice Revelló tournament with Javier Mascherano's Argentina U-20 team in 2022. In addition, in 2023 he was included in Argentina's squad for the U-20 World Cup, although he did not play in the tournament.
Regarding his qualities as a player, Nico Paz is a playmaker with a large wingspan, speed and vision. Physically, he has predominant physical conditions, which makes him especially powerful in open spaces on and off the ball.
