Mohamed-Ali Cho, also known as Momo Cho, has returned for a second time in Ligue 1 to become one of the most exciting attackers in France.
The French winger already has an extensive career despite his young age. After a spell at Paris Saint-Germain and Everton FC, he signed his first professional contract with Angers SCO in 2020. In fact, that same year he became the first player born in 2004 to make his debut in the French top division.
In June 2022 he was transferred to Real Sociedad, where he signed a contract for the next five seasons. After one and a half seasons, in January 2024, he returned to France to join OGC Nice, where he currently plays.
Last season he played a total of 20 games between Ligue 1 and Coupe de France, scoring a total of 2 goals and providing 2 assists.
On an international level, although Cho was born in Stains, France, on 19 January 2004, and currently represents France in the U21 national team, he could also represent England, where he lived for more than 10 years. In fact, the player has already been played at U-16 level for England.
Although Momo Cho's numbers do not reflect very consistent statistics, his football skills may foresee a player with potential in a vertical, direct and aggressive playing style.
Technically and tactically, the player has plenty of room for improvement. He has a good associative ability and a great shot with both legs, but he needs to improve his ball handling and control in those actions he performs at high speed. His decision making on the ball and his understanding of the game, on the other hand, must be the focus of his tactical work in order to raise the level of his game.
On the physical side, however, we find his biggest advantage. He is a tremendously fast, agile and aggressive player in open spaces, which is a crucial offensive asset in today's football.
Finally, mentally he can also drive his game through working on skills such as leadership, discipline and determination. However, his personality and daring on dribbling at such a young age is undeniable.
