South America has become a great source of producing young potential footballers, creating an interesting market and showing in recent years a great amount of youngsters transferred to European elite clubs with incredible impact. One of those cases is Julo Enciso, an attacker from the class of 2004 who is already giving flashes of his high quality playing in one of the most competitive European football Leagues.

The young Paraguayan, at just 19 years old, has left his home country in order to compete in the Premier League for Brighton FC since the start of the current season. Julio Enciso had an early professional debut, at just 15 years old playing for Libertad in Paraguay and has unlock an incredible potential in short time since then, being a key player in his country´s senior squad and a great reference for Libertad, before now taking the challenge of competing at the highest level.

Enciso is an interesting element for any club, as he can adopt different and varied roles. He usually starts as center forward, being able to be the main reference or perform as second striker, but his versatility and characteristics allow him to play as attacking midfielder or as winger in both sides. Julio is a vertical and mobile player, gifted with pace and good ball dominance.

When having the opportunity to play for Brighton, Enciso may be considered as an offensive allrounder, preferring to play in a free attacking role, provided with liberty to roam the pitch in order to find dangerous positions for his team. In that sense, he is clever and understands the game amazingly well to place himself between lines and receive the ball without rival pressure. In those positions he becomes really dangerous as he possesses high technical skills and creativity, with elevated vision and playmaking ability. He tends to find a vertical alternative in his game, either with short and fast speed combinations or trying to dribble looking to enter the penalty area. He feels comfortable either playing in tight or open spaces, as he possesses high quality to maneuver and hide the ball and elevated pace and change of pass to surpass rivals in his incursions forward, being important in transitions and counterattacks.

His movements off the ball are another quality and remarkable aspect of his striker profile. With his electrifying pace and tendency to mobility, he is brave to cut and draw diagonals to the back of defenders. Inside the penalty area, that explosiveness and his low center of gravity also allow him to quickly lose markers by body feints and obtain good goal scoring spots, being difficult to face and control him. That intelligence inside the box has allowed him to improve his output towards goal, considering his good instinct and finishing, either from mid and long distance or with his weaker foot.

In the defensive phase, Julio Enciso is a committed and effortful attacker. He is an important player to start the pressing, avoiding progressive passing lines and getting defenders in trouble by fastly squeezing the man in possession of the ball, forcing him to play long. He is also a key element in order to track back and help in death balls and duels either near his penalty area. Despite being an interesting player for his young age, he possesses room for improvement in different aspects. Despite having good ability to hide the ball, he is vulnerable when receiving the ball with the back to the goal under pressure. He should improve his strength levels, and learn how to absorb impacts better, in order to be able to turn around and time the play without getting off possession. Moreover, despite understanding the game well and having good game lecture, his tactical awareness could be improved. Playing in many different positions and being so mobile, he could understand better his role in each position to give the maximum for his team.

Giving his first steps in one of the best football competitions around the world, Julio Enciso is giving flashes of the high quality attacker he can become in the future. Keeping on working and getting minutes of play, he will for sure continue to improve his good attributes in order to establish as an important player in the world of football.
