Valencia FC is coming back to be in contention for European places towards the next season, after some years of both economic and football “crisis”. Javi Guerra, born 13/05/2003 is a Spanish midfielder who actually plays for Valencia. Javi was first recruited in football for Villarreal, who saw his talent since his initial years, but he was in juniors transferred to Valencia, as the path to make it to professional football was not clear at all while his stance at the “Grouguets”. Despite that fact, he can be considered a Valencia academy product, as he has burned all the stages from the academy to making his senior debut in 2022 Copa del Rey, while Bordalás was Valencia´s main coach. Last year meant his breakthrough season and this year he has established as an initial and indispensable player for the team, having started 20 matches and left incredible performances.
Being a striker in his academy days, Guerra mainly starts as central midfielder in the 4-4-2 formation offered for Valencia, adopting the role of being the deep-lying playmaker, but he can also adapt to playing in a 3-man midfield, adopting the box-to-box role. He possesses great technical abilities, and an intelligence in both offensive and defensive phases that allow him to make the difference on the pitch.
