Bilal El Khannouss is another of the many Moroccan talents who are attracting the attention of big clubs due to his interesting performances in Europe.
Although born in Strombeek-Bever (Belgium) on 10 May 2004, the player, after playing with the Belgium U-15-16-17-19 national team, decided to represent internationally to his country of origin, Morocco. He was called up by Walid Regragui for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, where he made his debut in the match for third and fourth place against Croatia.
At club level, El Khannouss began his background at RSC Anderletch Youth, from where he joined KRC Genk in 2019, the club he currently plays for. During the current season, the African midfielder has played a total of 51 games between all competitions, playing more than 4.000 minutes and being one of the most outstanding players of the team.
As for his skills as a footballer, we can define Bilal as a player of great technical and physical quality. Technically, he is an attacking midfielder with great ball control. Generally, he usually plays as attacking or box to box midfielder, although he can also play on the wing, especially on the left. From these positions, we find a player with a great associative skill, very talented at turning on himself, carrying, giving key passes and even finishing the moves with a shot with his right foot.
Physically, he is a tall, lightweight and powerful player. His long stride allows him to make the team progress many metres on the ball. In addition, his wingspan makes him a physically strong and robust player in individual duels.
