Born on March 3, 1999, Alessio Zerbin is a young 23-year-old football player who is trying to make his own space within Italian
football. He grew up in AC Gozzano where he played only two seasons to enter the crosshairs of the SSC Napoli youth sector. He
arrives in Naples at just 17 years, where he plays for two seasons in the spring, also participating in the Youth League scoring 4
goals in 6 games.
After only two seasons with the Napoli spring, and no presence with the first team, Zerbin seeks his fortune on loan in various teams
between Serie C and Serie B in Italy. Until arriving at this last season 2021/22 with the magic of Frosinone, where he participated
almost as a protagonist in the near-qualification to the play-offs for Serie A.
Alessio Zerbin, as we have already said, is a young footballer looking to create a space for himself in the panorama of Italian football, a 23-year-old left-winger who likes to wander around the outside and then concentrate and try both the conclusion but also the decisive passage for his partner.
For now, Zerbin has not yet shown what he would like to demonstrate, obviously it is not easy to be a young footballer and to find himself playing on loan every year in a different team from the previous one. With that in mind, the young Italian in his 120 appearances between Serie B and C, scored 19 times and provided 20 assists. They will not be champion numbers, but taking into account the circumstances where every 1/2 year is in a different environment, they are important numbers. Zerbin is a footballer who has excellent tactical intelligence, he often manages to find teammates with excellent through passes and very precise crosses.
His specialty is to act almost like an offensive playmaker, he is one who likes to lead the ball and look for quick plays with his teammates. He is also very active without the ball, often trying to be found free by retreating in order to free up the space for the insertion of his teammates. Often playing with 1 or 2 quick taps. The 23-year-old born in Novara, this last season played for Frosinone was his best season so far, with 9 goals and 3 assists. So much so that he also won the confidence of the coach of the Italian national team, Roberto Mancini, in his first call.
Obviously, this is not a point of arrival for the young winger, after many years in Serie B and Serie C, the young Novarese is now looking for space in some team that can give him the confidence and continuity he deserves. In the summer he will return to Napoli and will participate in the retreat of Spalletti's team, perhaps to try to show the coach what he can give to the team. Perhaps Napoli is not perfectly suited to the young player, given the great competition in his position on the pitch. Zerbin has a lot to give and he is a hungry footballer, there are no doubts that he is a talented footballer, the question is to find a club that can give him the confidence he needs to grow and become a top footballer.
The next season 2022/23 will be a season with many new features, and perhaps his arrival at some team that can give him time and continuity will make us know a player yet to be discovered.
