Romain Faivre

Stade Brestois (Ligue 1)

Winger (left) - Left Midfielder

In the final 2020/21 season, Faivre provided 6 goals and 3 assists in 37 appearances which proved likely to be the turning point for his career. Previously he had only played 1 Ligue 1 game. In addition, he was among the most creative players in Ligue 1 with an average of 2.1 passes per game and among the top dribblers with 2.6 successful appearances per game.

To add to this, Faivre is also a dead ball specialist. In the whole season has played as an attacking midfielder and on both sides this season, making him a versatile player.

The official Ligue 1 website described him as "among the revelations" of the season so far at the start of the campaign. Coach Olivier Dall'Oglio told the Lega website: "He is a player who goes fast, has good technique and runs a lot.

When you watch him dribble the ball, his style resembles Florian Thauvin. They are of similar stature and weight, both being left-handed players who tend to lead inside with their left foot and cross the opponent's baseline. He is not the fastest runner, but his agile movements and soft touch allow him to evade defenders and effectively enter dangerous areas.

With a height of 185 cm, Romain Faivre can dominate in flight. His head technique needs to improve. His lean body structure might trick you into thinking he's not the strongest, but Faivre can definitely use his strength to get past his opponent's muscles to win and keep the ball.

Romain Faivre has the potential to become one of the best players in France in the years to come. His goals and assists may not be eye-catching, but they only scratch the surface of what's underneath. If he continues to remain consistent with his performance, he will spark the interest of the best European clubs for future transfer windows. His technical and tactical presence, his ability to support offense with quality passes and progressive dribbling, and his effort on the defensive side of the pitch would convince any manager to catch him. He is one for the future, plain and simple.
