Vítor Manuel Carvalho Oliveira, or simply Vitinha is a Portuguese footballer born on March 15, 2000. With 22 years and is the latest bet by Carlos Carvalhal on the Sporting de Braga team. Until the Under 17s, the Portuguese striker played for the modest Águias do Alvite, a small club in the AF District of Braga. Then at 18, he moved to the main team of his city, SC Braga, where he still plays today after having passed through all the categories of the team, from the U19 to the main team.
With Sporting de Braga he soon demonstrated the quality and tenacity to establish himself as the club's promise in the city of the archbishops. He has crossed the Under 19, the Under 23, the B team, and now the A team, a sustained path in which he has been given the time to evolve and be more prepared for the context he finds now.
Vitinha is a very complete striker and has good physical strength, which allows him to be very good at protecting the ball from opposing defenders and turning around to attack the goal. The young Portuguese is a 1.83m forward who has excellent speed with and without the ball, is mobile, with good decision-making skills, and obviously has a very good sense of position. This makes him a versatile striker, with the ability to both play support and seek depth, complementing his physical skills and aerial play.
After only two appearances for the main squad last year, this 2021/22 season is his first and true season with SC Braga. Up to now, he has made a total of 31 appearances overall, scoring 13 goals and 4 assists with a playing time not yet as a regular player. To be his first season in Liga Portugal Bwin, Vitinha is slowly demonstrating that SC Braga must rely on him for the team's bomber role.
At 22 years of age, and in his first season with the main team, Vitinha scores, and not a little, in fact, he is starting to attract the attention of many clubs in Europe. Also considering that the value of his card is still that of a young striker without much experience, with a value of 6M € on Transfermarkt he is certainly a very attractive player to make a small bet on with excellent chances of success. Maybe now it's early, as it's his first season, but next year the eyes of many clubs will be on Liga Portugal to see what the young Vitinha will do.
